Privacy policy
Last updated · June 6, 2026
This policy describes how natalienicola.art handles personal information for portfolio browsing, commission inquiries, contact messages, and optional newsletter interest. It is written for visitors, not as formal legal advice.
Who we are
This site is operated by Natalie Nicola, a contemporary artist based in Toronto, Canada. For privacy questions, contact hello@natalienicola.art.
Information we collect
When you submit a commission inquiry or contact message, we collect the fields you provide (such as name, email, message content, and commission preferences). Newsletter sign-ups collect your email address when that feature is enabled.
We do not operate an online shop or customer accounts at launch. We do not collect payment card data on this site.
Our analytics and error monitoring tools may collect anonymized usage data, page URLs, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
Commission and contact submissions are used to respond to your inquiry, schedule studio conversations, and maintain a record of correspondence. Content is stored in our content management system with audit metadata for operational integrity.
Analytics help us understand which pages are useful and improve site performance. Error monitoring helps us fix technical issues quickly.
We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We use trusted processors to run the site, including hosting (Vercel), content management (Sanity), email delivery (Resend when configured), product analytics (PostHog), and error monitoring (Sentry). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
Retention
Inquiry records are retained while relevant to studio correspondence and business operations, unless you ask us to delete them sooner where applicable law allows.
Analytics and error data are retained according to each provider’s default retention settings, typically on rolling windows.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you submitted by emailing hello@natalienicola.art. We will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are in Canada, you may have rights under applicable privacy law. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may have additional rights including objection and portability where applicable.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
